In a two run game the Burbank Tigers got by the Caracas Leones by the score of

Burbank went ahead for good in the top of the 7th inning scoring 2 runners on
2 hits. The critical plate appearance was by Lyle Overbay who deflated the
crowd as he laced a base-hit which was good for two runs. Caracas had 11
hits in the game while Burbank had 7, but Burbank had the more timely hits.
The victory was credited to Woody Williams(4-19) who went 6 innings, allowing
3 runs. Todd Coffey earned the save, his 17th. The loss was charged to Roger
Clemens(11-5). He surrendered 5 runs and 5 hits in 6 and 2/3 innings.
